I've got a Gillette Fat Boy adjustable that I've cleaned up and used a few times. Its a good shave, but I prefer my Merkur Progress for an adjustable. I'd like to try a Merkur Slant. Straight-up trade (I've re-boiled and scrubbed the Fat Boy so its ready to use)?

Ok, I am still mastering the Futur but I really like it. My old Merkur open comb is easy.

But I've been thinking about ordering another razor to try. I've been looking at the HD, and Feather DE, and a few others. I can't decide what my next razor purchase should be.

Help? Recommendations? Pros/cons?

Advice, please?

When lathering up, do you scrub the brush hard on your face (opening up the bristles) or just use the tips?? If I splay the brush out, I can get pretty good coverage on my neck, usually, but it doesn't work near as well on my face.

Hi Again Folks,

Well I just received my Merkur HD last week and waited until Saturday to try it out. I lathered up & tentatively raised the razor to my face. (I was so conservative with my first pass that I don't think I removed any hair :001_rolle.) I then completed a N-S pass followed by a S-N pass. This yielded a pretty good..
